Dr. Sean Strain was born and raised in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. He graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 located in St.Kitts WI, B.V.I. He then went on and performed an intense 1 year internship at Merritt and Associates Equine Hospital in Chicago, IL. From there he went to Annabessacook Veterinary Clinic in Monmouth, ME for 3 years. Equine lameness, surgery , medicine and dentistry are his major interests. He brings to the area a vast knowledge in equine lameness diagnoses and treatments. He is a member of the AAEP, AVMA, KVMA and MVMA.
Dr. Sean Strain and his wife Kelly, got married in Antigua in January 2007. They moved into a house and 10 acres in Bonner Springs , KS in April 2007. They have 2 black lab x's named Belle and Gage, Palamino Filly named Barbie, 3 cats,18 chickens, 2 ducks(Lucy and Howard) And our newest addition Sidney(1/4 jack russel, 1/4 heeler and 1/2 Aust Shep)..........OL' MCDONALD.....E I E I OH!
Dr. Strain thoroughly enjoys continuing his education, as well as sharing that knowledge with his clients so that they can be better horse owners.
Strain Equine Services, LLC is the official veterinarian of the Kansas City Mounted Patrol.

Dr. Matt Stahl is originally from the small town of Juniata, Nebraska. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska in Pre-veterinary Science while receiving minors in both animal science and biochemistry in 2002. Following undergrad, he spent 4 years at Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. He elected to pursue further education in the equine field by doing a 1 year internal medicine and surgical internship at Idaho Equine Hospital, a nationally renowned clinic in Nampa Idaho.
Following his internship, he decided he wanted to be closer to home (and Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, NE) and practiced in Grand Island, NE at an equine lameness and surgical facility for 2 years, further advancing his knowledge in performance horses. During this time, he has also became certified equine Chiropractics.
Dr. Stahl will have become an associate at Strain Equine Services, LLC on June 22st, 2009. His primary interests include lameness and surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Stahl spends much of his time with his 2 year old Catahula dog named Lefty, as well as being an avid hunter and fisherman. Every football Saturday he can sure be found either at Memorial Stadium watching his Cornhuskers play or close to a TV or radio listening to his beloved Cornhuskers continue their domination of excellence!

Hi my name is Jessi. I am a registered technician and I moved here in September from Minnesota. I have 2 horses a 12 year old Mustang that I trained and a 14 year old Percheron. They currently live in Minnesota with my Dad. I graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota in 2008. In Minnesota I worked at a 5 doctor clinic that worked on large and small animal for about 10 years. Living in Kansas has been an adventure so far and I plan on staying for a while.
